Chapter VIII Troubleshooting and Solutions

The machine has the function of fault self-test , the corresponding alarm will display for the fault part , and the machine might have a sudden shutdown. When the fault happens please exclude as the following table, if it can not be excluded, please notify our company immediately to solve. Except about the computer control system, the user can exclude most general failure. Appendix II RS10 color sorter electrical diagram for your reference.

Troubleshooting and solutions are as follows:

Symptom	Season	Solutions
Abnormal indication for Fans	Fans can not rotate or too small amount of wind	When the fan is not working properly, the electrical box temperature may rise rapidly, causing damage to other circuits, so when the fan has a failure,you should stop working as soon as possible and check the fan. Check the fan power cable is normal or not, if abnormal please shut off power supply, reconnect power cable and then start machine for checking. If you exclude all the above reasons, you need to replace the fan, please contact our service department to arrange professional engineer to solve.
Vibrator does not work	Circuit is broken or blown fuse burn down	First check the electric wire connected with vibrator is normal or not, if abnormal ,please shut off the machine power, in accordance with Chapter 4.4 to reconnect. If you exclude the above reasons, you need to detect the vibrator driving circuit (including the fuse tube on the circuit board). Be the vibrator driving circuit involves high voltage power supply, we do not recommend the user to check, please contact our service department to arrange professional engineer to solve.
anomaly indication of air pressure	Air Pressure is too low	When the pressure is too low,it will cause the sorting effect reduce,also bring varying degrees of damages to the eject systems, including ejector and eject circuit, so when the air pressure is abnormal, you should stop working as soon as possible and check the whole gas system. Operation (1) Check the gas supply from the air compressor, if it’s abnormal, please contact the compressor manufacturer for repair. (2) Check the seal junction of whole gas system. If there is air leakage ,please seal it and start machine for checking (3) Check the ejectors leak or not. If yes, please refer to the ejector leakage troubleshooting.
Ejector leakage	some foreign body in the ejector or ejector is damaged ; Temperature is below 5 ℃, there is water in the ejector	Excess moisture or impurities contained in the compressed air will cause the ejector leakage, reduce the effect of color sorting. Please contact our service department to arrange professional engineer to repair or replacement.
ejector does not work	The ejector plug and the seat is bad match; Spool is broken; Control circuit is broken.	(1) Check the eject circuit connected to the ejectors is normal or not, whether the connector is off. If it’s abnormal, shut off the machine power, reconnect and then start machine for checking. (2) Check the eject driving circuit (including fuse tube on the circuit board ), because the eject driving circuit related to high voltage power supply, we do not recommend the user to check, please contact our service department to arrange professional engineer to repair the damaged ejector or driving circuitry .
Small amount of jet for ejector	Air Pressure is too low	Reference the solution for gas system low pressure.
Channel hopping materials	High temperature of materials; channel dust caking.	check channel heating device is turned on or not, if no please turn on the heating device for 20-30 minutes warm-up first; Check Are there dust caking on the channel if yes you can refer to Chapter 7.2 for cleaning.
The action of LED light and ejector extremely frequent	LED lights is burn out; Color selection scheme sets wrong; LED light power is burned, blown tube is broken; background board locks or improper angle adjustment	1. When this happens, the ejectors and related components will be serious damaged, you should stop as soon as possible and check the fault. 2. Check the Light status through the sorting box, if you find some LED light does not shine, then contact our company to arrange for replacement. 3. Check the rotation status of background board, if the background board is locked by some objects, you need to clean up the foreign body to make the background board rotate properly; 4.Check the scheme you chose is suitable or not, specifically information please refer to Chapter 5.2 about the schemes of color sorter
No sorting effect	Sensitivity setting is not correct; LED lights are bad; Parameters of Control system are changed or faulted; Background board is improperly adjusted.	Check the LED lights, background board, sorting scheme, parameters of machine are normal or not. Some of the control circuit board may be faulted, because there may be high voltage exists on these boards, we do not recommend user to check themselves, please contact our service department to arrange professional engineer to solve.
The sorting effect is getting worse in a working date	There is much dust on the front and rear glass of the sorting box ,which affect the light intensity; sensitivity, background board, feed setting changes	(1) Check the dust status on the front and rear glass of the sorting box, if need clean, please refer to the chapter7.2. (2) check the parameters of the machine are changed or not, if yes, please re-adjust the parameters.
